half way?
YEAH! Got half of my classes done, finished with research. Can I just say reading 300 pages of text was like reading 3000? I know it is helpful to know this stuff and be able to apply in research based practice, but it is SO DRY! And writing papers on dry material is torture! Now on to Leadership and I do NOT think I can finish it this week. I am thinking of all kinds of reasons to ask for an extension but if NNU says no, I will be one tired pup by the end of the week! Trying to get organized for our trip too and that is no easy task with having the animals and a housesitter to get ready for. David is so hyper about the trip and is flying on the ceilings.....If he asks me one more time if he can order cranberry juice on the plane, I will scream! I will be SOOOOO happy to be in Holland and chillaxin' really soon. Ok, folks, on to the next chapter and test in the am!

forget something?
I keep walking around the house trying to remember what I was going to get. Get back to the chair, sit down and realize I forgot the pen I needed, so get up and get distracted by something else, return to the chair without the pen... I am thinking I need a pack to just carry around with me, with glasses, a pen, a notepad, measuring tape, jug of water and bottle of ibuprofen and car keys. I think I could call it the SUZI'S SENILE SACK

Time with Ashleigh
Had a great few days with our granddaughter, Ashleigh. We spent a lot of time talking, laughing and a bit of time riding horses. She is such a neat teenager and I love listening to her chatter incessantly. She is agreeable, fun, opinionated, passionate, intelligent, very dramatic, curious and outspoken. I like that she enjoys coming to spend time with us. I am so happy to have her in my life and will miss her when she returns to Virginia.

July 4th greetings
So delightful to sit out on our breezy patio enjoying the quiet, idyllic setting....enjoying coffee, fresh fruit and cheddar cheese omelet. while reading the paper.....Who needs to go away on vacation when you already live in such a wonderful place and can enjoy just being home? Enjoy the 4th everyone! Looking forward to small town celebration in Emmett, listening to the reading of Declaration of Independence in the park and going to fireworks at The Island!
Ok, snap out of it, time to go do the wash and start cleaning the house!

too quiet
It seems as if when dave is here, all we have is a lot of talking, screeching, yelling, and us begging him to hush. Well, it's very hushed right now, and way too quiet! Missing him already...oh and I have to do his chores too. It's been a long time since I got the horses in, gathered eggs and fed all the critters. Yep, you are missed, and not just for the chores!

now to packing
So..David is packed for camp and we just find out that he can't check baggage and has to do a carry on and a back pack. yep, got to re-pack all this stuff into two little bags....thanks a ton for the last minute notice. And "Rainman" is flapping all over wondering how he will re-pack when he comes home, who will help him and where will he put his dirty clothes. Pills are packed with step by step instructions. Really? With these kids, why not just have a Ritalin piped into the air system for the plane.. And maybe a Valium chaser to go with the cranberry juice and peanuts?
He would also like to know if he could or should wear a boutonniere for the flight...Yeah, I think ya should!
